Imperial offers
a few types of Plaster related products. All are non-combustible.
Traditional
Plaster
Used for centuries, plaster is composed from
re-enforced powered gypsum with bonding and hardening agents.
It is relatively
light weight, non-load bearing, and can be applied to a wall with ceramic
adhesive such as Le Pages CA100
or
equivalent and is taped and mudded into place to create seamless integration.
It is a
non-combustible product.
Although
re-enforced and hard, It is relatively fragile and can break, however an
experienced plaster worker is used to this
and
re-plasters the pieces back together with relative ease. It can be cut and
reshaped with powdered plaster.
For crown
moldings or casings, it is recommended to purchase 20% extra to allow for this
breakage possibility.
Traditional
plaster is for internal use only and needs to be primed and finished.
It
cannot be transported by courier and must be crated and trucked.
Handling: Never carry plaster on the horizontal, breakage can occur easily
