What is a Canopy?

The chandelier canopy does not go through the hole of the medallion. It sits up to the face of the medallion. This collection is sorted by the center flat area of the medallion around the hole. Your chandelier's canopy can cover this center flat area or you can allow it to cover part of the decorative pattern, thus the canopy can be larger than what is listed

IPMRD30028H is a Colonial style medallion and has a diameter of 28" (71.12cm) and a projection of 2" (4cm). The hole is 3-3/4" (10.48cm). The flat center ring around hole is 8" (20.3cm) however larger canopies can be accommodated when it covers the inner ring. The canopy sits on the top of the medallion not through the hole. This Colonial medallion has a simple design allowing it to be used with any style of chandelier. It is available in ArchPolymerTM for interior & exterior use and GRGNeoPlasterTM for Interior use. IPNP1059H is an Art Deco style medallion denoted by a concentric rings. Art Deco style medallions are perfect for any decor from traditional to Beyond Modern decorating styles. This medallion is 31-3/8" (79.69cm). We can create variations in carved hardwood. The center flat to the hole ring is 8" (20.32cm). It is available in ArchPolymerTM (a synthetic plaster). For Vaulted ceilings specify Flexible ResinMold®. For Commercial and Public Buildings specify Fire Rated ArchPolymerTM or GRG-NeoPlasterTM (real plaster).
