What is a Canopy?

The chandelier canopy does not go through the hole of the medallion. It sits up to the face of the medallion. This collection is sorted by the center flat area of the medallion around the hole. Your chandelier's canopy can cover this center flat area or you can allow it to cover part of the decorative pattern, thus the canopy can be larger than what is listed

The flat center ring around hole is 6" (15.2cm) so it fits a chandelier canopy up to 6" (15.2cm) however larger canopies can be accommodated when it covers the inner ring. The canopy sits on the top of the medallion not through the hole. This Colonial medallion has a simple design allowing it to be used with any style of chandelier.
